Grass sod delivery costs are always based on mileage from our place to yours, and we normally just ask for a delivery address. We figure out the mileage based on that address. So it matters where you are geographically, and how many pallets that you need.
Sometimes we’ll bring your grass on an 18 wheeler with a forklift, and sometimes we have a couple of guys that will deliver small quantities of grass. We’ll send a guy with his pickup and a trailer. He’ll hand offload it onto the driveway. So we do a lot of deliveries that way too.
The Typical Range for Delivery Costs
But as a range, I would say just our real close local deliveries start at $65. The upper end is usually about $150. Normally we won’t go further than that. If we need to charge more than $150 we generally won’t go there unless it’s for fairly sizeable quantities of grass. Sometimes we’ll brush $200 for a delivery if somebody needs something that’s a one-off. But I generally say $65 to $150 is what you’re looking at in the greater Houston area.
